Patriots | Aaron Dobson had screw inserted
Tue, 29 Jul 2014 08:17:25 -0700
Updating an ongoing story, New England Patriots WR Aaron Dobson (foot) underwent surgery March 10 to have a screw permanently implanted into his injured left foot. Dobson had a stress fracture fixed, and the initial prognosis of two to three months is now an overly optimistic timetable. He began running in July but has not showcased any change-of-direction work in practice.
Cleary, this is not good news for Dobson's potential as a sneaky late-round flier pick. It is probably best to cross him off your list of lottery tickets for 2014, but remember follow his progression during the year. He could be a stash for very deep rosters or in leagues with IR spots. He may have late-season daily game appeal.
