Panthers | Cam Newton will work with wide receivers

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton will work with his wide receivers before training camp gets underway to try to get on the same page after missing time due to an ankle issue. "It's been more difficult because Cam's coming off an ankle injury and he had to get surgery, so we couldn't throw with him as much as we would like," Panthers receiver Tiquan Underwood said. "I know we're all going to get together next week in Charlotte. We're just going to try to speed up the process. We're all going to throw -- Derek Anderson, Cam Newton, Joe Webb, Matt Blanchard and all the receivers -- just to work on timing and get that down pat before camp."
Newton and his wide receivers are behind after not getting much work in during the offseason program. This is a good start to help get back up to speed before the full squad reports at the end of the month. Newton remains a fringe QB1 option for fantasy players thanks to his questionable receiving targets.
