San Francisco 49ers LB NaVorro Bowman (knee) may miss half of the 2014 season, according to head coach Jim Harbaugh. Bowman tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee in the NFC Championship game against the Seattle Seahawks and had surgery Feb. 2. "Realistically, halfway through the season, something like that would be more realistic. But I never underestimate NaVorro Bowman -- He's a supreme athlete, a world-class athlete among world-class athletes. The way he moves, his strength, his powers of healing." LB Michael Wilhoite would likely enter the lineup without Bowman.
As a result, Bowman shouldn't be drafted in IDP leagues, but he could be a serviceable addition late in the year if you're struggling for production out of your linebackers.
