Chargers | Ryan Mathews having strong season

San Diego Chargers RB Ryan Mathews has four 100-yard rushing games this season, and only Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (five) and Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (five) have more. He carried the ball 30 times in the Week 14 game against the New York Giants, and he is more than happy with the extra workload. "I'm a firm believer of 'go as long as you can'," head coach Mike McCoy said. "I've got no problem with the running back (handling a high volume)."
Fantasy owners in the playoffs are more than happy to see Mathews handling the ball more. In Week 15, he faces a Denver Broncos rushing defense which ranks seventh in the NFL by allowing just 99.8 yards per game. However, the Broncos have given up 14 rushing scores, which ranks in the bottom half of the league.
