Bills | To dumb down playbook for EJ Manuel

The Buffalo Bills plan to scale back their offensive game plan in order to aid the development of QB EJ Manuel for the final three regular season games. Manuel had his worst performance in the Week 14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, throwing four interceptions. However, head coach Doug Marrone believes Manuel is still the long-term answer at quarterback. "He has the ability to do it, there's no doubt in my mind. The problem is that it's like anything else, he's going to take a lot of the heat because of the position and that comes with it. At the end of the day, we need to make sure that the people around him are doing what they're supposed to do," Marrone said.
Manuel has had a tough season, and his midseason injury didn't make things any easier on him. He has plenty of upside left for next year, but it's not wise to rely on him for the last three weeks of the season.
