Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning threw for 397 yards and four touchdowns in the team's rout of the Tennessee Titans in Week 14, silencing many critics that said Manning didn't perform as well in cold weather. "Whoever wrote that narrative can shove it where the sun don't shine," Manning said. "I felt pretty good out there today." The temperature at kickoff was just 18 degrees. He improved to 4-7 in his career in games where the temperature is 32 below at the start of the game. Manning had a team-record 39 completions against the Titans and a franchise-high 59 attempts.
Manning has had his fair share of poor performances in chilly temps, but he changed things up yesterday. There is still reason to be hesitant to run with him in cold games, but this should quell some of your concerns if he's your starting QB.
