Titans | Decision coming on Jake Locker
Tue, 12 Nov 2013 10:39:30 -0800
The Tennessee Titans must decide by May 3, 2014, whether they want to pick up QB Jake Locker's 2015 option. Under the collective bargaining agreement, teams exercising a fifth-year option for a top-10 draft pick must pay them a salary equal to the transition tag. The transition tag for quarterbacks this year is $13.068 million. Locker will be under contract next year for $2.091 million. "I think that's stuff we'll talk about when the season is over and you have to make decisions on the next season. … That's a nice February discussion," head coach Mike Munchak said. "He is a fighter, and if anyone can come back from another injury, it is going to be him. We are just concentrating on these next seven weeks."
