Bills | Holding out hope for Thaddeus Lewis

The Buffalo Bills are holding out hope that QB Thaddeus Lewis (ribs) can play in Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs, and the team plans on having him throw later Friday, Nov. 1, and work out again Saturday, Nov. 2, before making a final determination. "We're trying to hold out to see if Thad will be ready. We feel that if he is, we have the option to play him if he's healthy enough for us to win," head coach Doug Marrone said. "When you're dealing with muscle injuries, they kind of take it all the way up until game time. This one's a pain tolerance situation to see what he can do." QB Jeff Tuel has a better understanding of the team's offense and is favored to start over QB Matt Flynn if Lewis can't play.
