Chiefs | Dexter McCluster becoming bigger part of offense?

Kansas City Chiefs WR Dexter McCluster had a team-high seven catches for 67 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 8 win over the Cleveland Brown. He also had one rush for five yards. "As a player, you never know when it's going to be your day," said McCluster, who was targeted by QB Alex Smith a team-high 10 times. "You just have to be there when it's time. I was able to get started early and get some balls early." His 13 touches were a season high, and the team has been looking for someone to step up and help lighten the workload for RB Jamaal Charles. Smith thinks the team will use McCluster more in the second half of the season.
With Dwayne Bowe being limited with an injury, McCluster stepped up last Sunday. Bowe has been a disappointment, and McCluster's jack-of-all-trades versatility could make him a valuable asset down the stretch, especially in point-per-reception leagues. Consider adding him as receiver depth in deeper formats.
