Jaguars | Maurice Jones-Drew turning it on

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew has been much more effective in the last four games, and he set season highs in rushing yards (75) and total yards (122) in the team's Week 8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He's been used more in the passing game recently, too, catching six passes for 47 yards against the 49ers. He entered the game with just 10 catches for 63 yards in the previous games. "The more you're in space the better you start to feel," Jones-Drew said. "The more you get in the open field you get a feel for guys and how they tackle. You're able to make those X-factor plays." He received his second highest carry total (19) of the year, and his 25 total touches was a season high.
MJD is on a bye this week, but if the Jaguars look to keep him more involved in their game plan, more good things could be on the horizon for him. Despite playing in an offense that doesn't score much, Jones-Drew is as close as it gets to a must-start.
