Chargers | Philip Rivers continues to shine
Mon, 07 Oct 2013 10:43:00 -0700
San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers topped 400 yards passing for the third time in five games this season in Week 5 against the Oakland Raiders. He completed more than 73 percent of his throws for the fourth straight week despite throwing three interceptions.
Two of Rivers' picks came late in the game and were balls he forced into the secondary. It has become clear that Rivers is a solid low-end QB1 play in most weeks in a new-look offense that allows him to change the play at the line of scrimmage. As long as he continues to get rid of the ball quickly and the offensive line holds up, he looks like a safe weekly starter.
