Eagles | Michael Vick too indecisive?
Fri, 04 Oct 2013 10:11:54 -0700
Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick is holding the football 4.3 seconds per dropback this year, which is tied for the longest release time in the league this year. Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning is releasing the ball in 2.35 seconds on average. However, Vick doesn't agree that he's holding onto the ball too long. Vick has also been pressured on the highest percentage of dropbacks this season.
As Phil Sheridan notes, the second total is skewed because Vick often scrambles out of the pocket due to pressure, which is a strength of his. Don't read too much into this. Vick remains a solid QB2 option and low-end QB1 many weeks.
