Raiders | MLB game forces football time change
Mon, 30 Sep 2013 16:55:17 -0700
The Oakland Raiders are forced to delay their Week 5 game Sunday, Oct. 6, from 4:25pm ET to 11:35pm ET due to Game 2 of the American League Division Series played by the Oakland Athletics Saturday, Oct. 5. The field crews need enough time to convert the playing surface from a baseball diamond to a football field and to get the appropriate stands in place in time to pass safety inspections.
The time change gives RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) and FB Marcel Reece (knee) a few extra hours to get ready. Mainly, though, it plays havoc for fantasy owners waiting until the last minute to make a lineup decision. It might be best to avoid the two altogether if they are considered questionable or doubtful later in the week.
