Browns | Brandon Weeden cleared
Mon, 30 Sep 2013 10:23:33 -0700
Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski said QB Brandon Weeden (thumb) has been cleared to play, and the team will see how much he can practice this week before declaring him as the backup to QB Brian Hoyer for the Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills Thursday, Oct. 3. Chudzinski said the starting quarterback role will be determined on a week-to-week basis.
Hoyer is 2-0 for the team and will start this Thursday night. We don't see Cleveland going away from Hoyer anytime soon, so leave Weeden to the waiver wire.
