Lions | Ryan Broyles ready

Detroit Lions WR Ryan Broyles (knee) said he is ready to return to action after recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. Even offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said Broyles is ready. "This is a big week," Linehan said. "With Pat (Edwards, receiver) banged up a little bit right now, Ryan has stepped up his role and his reps this week. He's definitely close, and if called upon, he's ready." Edwards injured his ankle last week and hasn't practiced since. Broyles is primarily a slot receiver, so WR Nate Burleson could be moved outside to accommodate him. Broyles isn't ready to play 30 or 40 snaps in a game yet, but he said he's close to full strength.
Broyles will steadily begin to see action, probably beginning this weekend. He may have the most upside out of any player on your waiver wire, especially in the Lions' high-flying attack. If you're hurting at wideout, it would be a good idea to grab Broyles now.
