Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (knee) underwent surgery on his knee Monday, Aug. 5, that is expected to keep him out for four to six weeks, but doctors still expect him to be ready for Week 1. Doctors tried to fix a nerve issue in his knee that has bothered him since college.
You'll have to keep tabs on Nelson's progress during the preseason, but there is a chance that he won't suit up in the season opener. It'll make drafters a little less certain on drafting him, but unless he suffers a setback, he shouldn't miss a ton of regular season time.
