Raiders | Matt Flynn looking good in camp

Oakland Raiders QB Matt Flynn has been the most impressive of all three quarterbacks in training camp so far, outplaying QBs Terrelle Pryor and Tyler Wilson. Flynn has started only two games in five seasons in the NFL. Flynn has taken the majority of first-ream repetitions and is earning the trust of teammates with his play. "It's kind of playing out about like I expected. Matt Flynn has been pretty consistent," head coach Dennis Allen said. "Those guys are doing exactly what we want them to do, keep competing and keep playing. Don't worry about the depth chart, just keep getting better." Pryor is a dual threat as a quarterback, but he's been inconsistent throwing the ball and is working to improve his mechanics. "I found out that I was leaving my chest open a lot so it was making me late," Pryor said. "So when I was coming down to throw with my left arm, my right arm was saying it's time to go, the timing wasn't right. He kind of helped me with that. It's definitely helping shoot the ball a lot more and better. My thing looking in the mirror last year was I need to be more accurate."
Flynn won't be an attractive backup QB for fantasy football because of his lack of experience in the league and the fact that he's on a new team. The Raiders will likely be a ground-centered team with a lack of wide receiver depth, too, making Flynn less intriguing. If he wins the job, he'll be a weak No. 2.
