Seahawks | Golden Tate ready to take big leap forward?
Sun, 28 Jul 2013 19:54:40 -0700
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said WR Golden Tate is in pretty much every package the team runs, and they will use him not just deep, but in the shallow, tempo-based passing game, across the middle. "We're using him in everything," Carroll said.
Tate has shown glimpses of brilliance in his first three years, but not quite the consistency of an upper-echelon receiver. In fact, his biggest claim to fame might be as the receiver on the end of the controversial replacement referee blown call on Monday Night Football in Week 3 last season. There has been a buzz about Tate in camp early on, and he could be a guy that explodes for fantasy owners in 2013, filling the void if Percy Harvin (hip) is sidelined.
