Bears | Not worried about Gabe Carimi

Chicago Bears general manager Phil Emery isn't worried that OT Gabe Carimi has been absent from organized team activities this week. "This is a voluntary situation, and every player has to make his own decisions," Emery said. "Gabe has made a decision that he wants to stay in Arizona and train, and we respect that. And he'll be welcomed with open arms when he comes back." The team drafted OT Kyle Long in the first round of this year's draft, and it's assumed that Long will take Carimi's guard spot, leaving Carimi to battle for a starting job. Carimi told the team that he'd be skipping OTAs after their minicamp in April.
