Michael Waltrip Racing | Martin Truex Jr. out of Chase
Mon, 09 Sep 2013 16:59:10 -0700

Michael Waltrip Racing was fined $300,000 by NASCAR, and all three drivers were docked 50 points. That means Martin Truex Jr. is out of the Chase, and Stewart-Haas Racing driver Ryan Newman is in. The penalties and fine were a result of what was determined to be an intentional spin on a restart by teammate Clint Bowyer.
