NASCAR | ESPN, Turner Sports want to nix deals early
Tue, 27 Aug 2013 12:52:27 -0700

ESPN and Turner Sports would like to opt out of their contracts with NASCAR a year early and turn them over to Fox and NBC in 2014. NASCAR recently agreed to a deal with Fox and NBC to run from 2015 to 2024. Fox and NBC are interested in picking up the rights but feel they should be compensated for letting ESPN and Turner out of their deals early.
