Joe Gibbs Racing | Denny Hamlin might miss six weeks
Tue, 26 Mar 2013 20:10:13 -0700

Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin (back) is expected to be out for about six weeks while he recovers from an L1 vertebra compression fracture suffered Sunday, March 24, at the Auto Club 400. He was examined by a physician in North Carolina Tuesday, March 26. The good news is that he will not require surgery. Joe Gibbs Racing has drivers Brian Vickers and Elliott Sadler available as substitute drivers, although Vickers is slated to drive for Michael Waltrip Racing in the No. 55 car at Martinsville Speedway April 7.
