Detroit Tigers SP Max Scherzer allowed a run and five hits over seven innings with a walk and six strikeouts in a win Wednesday, July 30, against the Chicago White Sox. He is unbeaten over his past seven starts. Since allowing 10 runs in a loss against the Kansas City Royals June 17, Scherzer is 5-0 with a 2.08 ERA in seven starts, and he is the first American League pitcher to reach 13 wins.
