Nationals | Not rushing Wilson Ramos back
Fri, 02 May 2014 15:46:11 -0700

The Washington Nationals will be careful not to rush C Wilson Ramos (hand) back to the team. He'll catch six innings in a minor league game Saturday, May 3, and then move to nine innings Monday, May 5. Manager Matt Williams said Ramos will likely need to play at Single-A Potomac or Double-A Harrisburg before returning. "He's been out a month, roughly, and not catching," Williams said. "You've just got to get back in the flow of it. Look at spring training; it takes them a long time to get going and maintain that. And I worry about his legs. I worry that, given his history, that he's fully in shape when he does come back."
