Phillies | Cody Asche leading candidate for 3B

Philadelphia Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg said 3B Cody Asche is the "leading candidate" to enter next season as the team's starting third baseman. "I'd say come in and be ready to win a job," Sandberg said. "You've shown you can play here. You've shown you can play at this level. Come in and be ready to take the job." 3B Maikel Franco had a great minor league season but has yet to play above Class A.
