Angels | Howie Kendrick runs bases
Fri, 06 Sep 2013 19:25:55 -0700

The push by Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 2B Howie Kendrick (knee) to return before the end of the season is real, as he ran the bases at 90 percent before the game Friday, Sept. 6, against the Texas Rangers. The team is well out of contention, but he refuses to shut it down for the season. "I'm not that type of player - I want to play," Kendrick said. "I like winning. We've been playing good baseball, but at the same time, I want to get back out there and play. I don't want to go into the offseason injured."
