Updating a previous report, Boston Red Sox C Jarrod Saltalamacchia (back) was able to take batting practice Friday, Sept. 6, and he participated in other drills. He is sufficiently recovered from lower back pain and is hopeful of resuming play soon. "Tomorrow is a possibility," manager John Farrell said Friday.
