Philadelphia Phillies OF Casper Wells and INF John McDonald made rare pitching appearances during the 18th inning of the team's loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks Saturday, Aug. 24. Wells allowed five runs on five hits and three walks in two-thirds of an inning while being tagged with the loss. McDonald allowed two hits in one-third of an inning with a strikeout.
