Indians | More on Vinnie Pestano
Mon, 08 Jul 2013 15:44:18 -0700

Cleveland Indians RP Vinnie Pestano's velocity and command have been off since he returned from the disabled list May 16 after dealing with a sore right elbow. Since then, he's 1-2 with a 5.66 ERA (13 earned runs in 20 2/3 innings) and has allowed 24 hits, 12 walks and has 22 strikeouts. Manager Terry Francona wants to return Pestano to the eighth-inning setup role once he regains some confidence. RPs Joe Smith and Cody Allen will see action in the eighth inning in the meantime.
