Rockies | Dexter Fowler hopeful he won't miss much time
Wed, 03 Jul 2013 20:15:43 -0700

Colorado Rockies OF Dexter Fowler (hand) said Wednesday, July 3, that he felt better before the game Tuesday, July 2, but when he started swinging the bat, the soreness in his right hand returned. Fowler said he has a bone bruise on his right hand sustained during an awkward swing last month. "It's not structural damage," Fowler said. "It's just a bone bruise. It's going to be sore for a while and it's just a matter of what you can handle. Right now, it's just I don't want it to get worse when it's getting better. So I think the best thing to do is rest it."
