Brewers | Johnny Hellweg receiving rest
Tue, 18 Jun 2013 12:48:57 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers SP Johnny Hellweg hasn't made a start for Triple-A Nashville since June 11, and he won't pitch in the next few days. The team is having him rest so that they "don't face inning limits later in the year." Ps Jimmy Nelson and Tyler Thornburg, who are also with Nashville, will be on a similar plan. Hellweg is 6-4 with a 3.06 ERA in 13 starts (70 2/3 innings). He's struck out 48, walked 44 and is limiting opponents to a .197 average.
