Pirates | Neil Walker still cannot grip bat
Tue, 30 Apr 2013 19:42:11 -0700

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Pirates 2B Neil Walker (hand) worked out on defense Tuesday, April 30, fielding grounders and throwing without restrictions. However, he still cannot grip a bat, and manager Clint Hurdle does not like the idea of simply using Walker as a defensive replacement. Walker is still hopeful of having his six stitches removed from his index knuckle this weekend.
