Toronto Blue Jays SP Aaron Laffey was designated for assignment Friday, April 26, after his spot start against the New York Yankees in place of the injured SP Josh Johnson (triceps). He threw just 23 of his 55 pitches for strikes, allowed two earned runs, two hits and five walks with no strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings in a no-decision.
