Pittsburgh Pirates SP A.J. Burnett took a no-hit bid into the seventh inning against the St. Louis Cardinals Wednesday, April 17, to earn the win. He struck out eight in the outing to raise his season total to 35 in 24 innings. Burnett also recorded his 2,000th career strikeout in the game.
