Braves | Andrelton Simmons back

Atlanta Braves SS Andrelton Simmons (thumb) is back in the lineup Monday, April 8, but OF B.J. Upton is in the leadoff spot. Simmons is hitting eighth against the Miami Marlins. Simmons went 3-for-17 with a double, walk, a stolen base and a .222 on-base percentage in four games in the leadoff spot. Upton was 3-for-6 with a home run, two stolen bases, three walks and no strikeouts in two games at leadoff over the weekend. Manager Fredi Gonzalez is playing it day-to-day with his lineup.
