Wed, 03 Apr 2013 21:01:58 -0700

Washington Nationals SP Gio Gonzalez (headache) developed a severe headache while warming up in the bullpen before his start Wednesday, April 3. He took some pills and had his right temple massaged by a trained, but he couldn't shake the pain. It didn't matter. He belted his second career homer, and he allowed just two hits and two walks with five strikeouts in six scoreless innings for the win.
