San Diego Padres OF Carlos Quentin (knee) tested his sore right knee in the field for the first time Wednesday, March 20. He said he is hopeful to be ready for the regular season opener April 1 against the New York Mets. "I'm trying to be," Quentin said. "That's the goal. I still believe I'll have that opportunity."
