Cardinals | Rafael Furcal a long shot for opening day
Mon, 04 Mar 2013 15:41:34 -0800

St. Louis Cardinals SS Rafael Furcal (elbow) is a long shot to be ready for opening day after he'll receive a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews Wednesday, March 6, according to general manager John Mozeliak. The team isn't second guessing the decision to avoid surgery on Furcal's elbow at the end of last year.
