Fri, 15 Feb 2013 12:35:27 -0800

Baltimore Orioles 2B Brian Roberts (hernia) plans on playing plenty of spring training games this year and is intent on opening the season as the starting second baseman. "I don't think he's planning on anything but being healthy and being our second baseman," manager Buck Showalter said. "I respect that. I know that's how he came in here. He wants to get us a reminder of how good a player he is and what a contributor he is for us."
