Nationals | Ryan Zimmerman building strength
Fri, 15 Feb 2013 12:25:03 -0800

Washington Nationals 3B Ryan Zimmerman (shoulder) is currently building his strength in his throwing shoulder, and he plans to go back to a smooth, natural and overhand throwing motion this year now that his shoulder is fully healthy. He made 25 throws from 60 feet and 25 more from 75 feet Friday, Feb. 15. Manager Davey Johnson thinks Zimmerman will play in his first spring game two weeks into the schedule, and Zimmerman just wants 50 at-bats this spring. He has yet to take batting practice and plans to take things slow in spring training.
