Mets | Johan Santana unlikely for WBC

New York Mets SP Johan Santana is unlikely to pitch in the World Baseball Classic for Team Venezuela because the team has informed him that they would prefer it if he stays in spring training. "I would love to play, but I don't think they want me to," Santana said. "They might make it official. I don't know. ... As of right now, I don't think the chances are very high." He's expecting to be on the mound for the first time this spring Sunday, Feb. 17.
