Braves | Brian McCann targeting opening day
Wed, 23 Jan 2013 14:03:25 -0800

Atlanta Braves C Brian McCann (shoulder) is hoping he'll be ready by the time opening day comes around, but he knows he'll have to be cautious in his return from surgery to fix a torn labrum in his right shoulder. He said "things are ramping up" in his rehab, and he began throwing last week and started running two weeks ago. McCann was initially expected to miss at least the first two weeks of the season.
