Red Sox | Daniel Bard to meet with manager
Fri, 18 Jan 2013 19:10:26 -0800

Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell will travel to Mississippi Sunday, Jan. 20, to meet with RP Daniel Bard. That is when the pitcher is scheduled to throw for the first time this offseason. "I think as a starter last year, he tried to manipulate the ball maybe a little too much, maybe be a little too fine in ways, when he was trying to induce a ground ball a lot, rather than staying with that aggressive approach that has made him successful in Boston," Farrell said.
