Nationals | Mike Morse doesn't want to be DH
Tue, 08 Jan 2013 15:53:41 -0800

Washington Nationals OF Mike Morse strongly opposes serving in strictly a designated hitter role, according to major league sources, which could be a problem for American League teams wanting to trade for him. Morse isn't "a very gifted defender," so most AL teams will want to use him as the DH. Morse does not have no-trade protection. The Texas Rangers and Cleveland Indians are unlikely destinations for him, and the Nats are unlikely to trade Morse within their division. An early favorite for his services may be the Seattle Mariners.
