Texas Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said the team wants to make trades this winter. "I think we have a sense of a couple of things that are possible and hopefully we'll be able to advance the ball there," Daniels said. "I feel like we have a better sense of what's real and what's not. We want to make deals. We don't want to sit here every day and talk about the idea of making deals. It just hasn't happened yet." Arizona Diamondbacks OF Justin Upton is their biggest target, with Tampa Bay Rays SP James Shields another option. Texas is also willing to trade INF Michael Young if he agrees to waive his no-trade clause.
