Brewers | Looking to control Michael Fiers' innings

Milwaukee Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said the team has looked into how to control SP Michael Fiers' innings for the rest of the season and have considered shutting him down at some point. Fiers has thrown 135 innings this season between Triple-A Nashville and the Brewers which is more than the 128 innings he pitched last season. If the team allows him to pitch 30 percent more innings than he did last season, he likely would be allowed to pitch 35 more innings this season. Fiers said he feels good but understands the team will do what is best.
