White Sox | Gavin Floyd bothered by tendinitis

An MRI exam for Chicago White Sox SP Gavin Floyd (elbow) revealed no structural damage after he said he had been bothered recently by general soreness. Manager Robin Ventura confirmed that he had tendinitis in his right elbow and forearm but did not think it would be serious enough to warrant a trip to the disabled list. Floyd was scheduled to start against the Boston Red Sox Monday, July 16, but SP Dylan Axelrod will pitch instead. Floyd had his start pushed back to Wednesday, July 18, although it's unlikely that he'll be ready by then.
