Toronto Blue Jays SP Henderson Alvarez (shin) allowed four runs and eight hits over 6 1/3 innings in a loss Friday, June 1, against the Boston Red Sox. He is 0-3 with a 6.08 ERA over his past four starts, all Toronto losses. Alvarez was hit on the left shin by a comebacker, but was treated on the field and able to remain in the game.
