Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and three RBIs Tuesday, April 24, against the Minnesota Twins. He raised his average to .444 with three home runs and 15 RBIs. Ortiz now has nine multi-hit games, including a pair of four-hit performances. In 2008, he hit just .121 through his first 15 games, while in 2009 he hit just .220 in the first 15 contests. In 2010, he managed an abysmal .154 average through the first 15 games.
