The Associated Press reports Hendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson signed a contract extension through the 2015 season Friday, Nov. 20. It is his third contract extension since joining the team in 2001. Home improvement chain Lowe's also has signed an extension as the primary sponsor of Johnson's No. 48 Chevrolet through the 2013 season. Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
